Greg was found living on the streets in a local area in Romania alongside three other dogs before they were safely taken into the care of our partner shelter. He has been at the shelter since August 2025. Greg is full of happiness and enthusiasm. He loves greeting people with his tail wagging and happily runs over for attention and cuddles. Greg enjoys being stroked all over and will gently jump up to ask for even more affection. Greg absolutely loves treats and is very food motivated, taking them gently from the hand. He has happily had a harness fitted and has walked really nicely both around the shelter and outside of it. Greg loved exploring the playground at the shelter, happily sniffing around with his tail wagging the entire time. Greg could potentially live with another well balanced and friendly dog, or he may equally enjoy being the only dog in the home. Greg would love an active rural or suburban home with access to walks, adventures and plenty of affection. Background William is a 5-year-old boy who was rescued from a local pound in December 2025. Given his age, it’s likely he once had an owner and then found himself abandoned before ending up in the pound. Since arriving at the shelter, William has shown just how much potential he has to thrive with the right guidance. He has never lived in a home environment, so everything from household routines to quiet downtime will be completely new to him. Personality William is curious, energetic, and full of life. He enjoys human attention and isn’t shy about asking for it – whether that’s barking to invite interaction or greeting visitors eagerly at his kennel run. He seeks contact, enjoys being touched under the chin and on the chest, and has even been known to politely offer a paw. While he likes interaction, he doesn’t yet fully relax into cuddles, showing that he’s still learning how to feel safe and settled. With time, calm guidance, and trust-building, his affectionate side is sure to grow. Home Required William will need a patient, understanding home that is committed to positive reward-based training and gentle counter-conditioning. Meet Ernie – A Sweet Soul Waiting for His Second Chance Ernie was rescued from a local pound in Romania in March 2026 after the shelter team had noticed him with an injured leg. He was taken into the care of our partner shelter where he received the care and safety he desperately needed. Due to his age, it is likely Ernie once belonged to a family before sadly finding himself abandoned or surrendered to the pound. He is now patiently waiting for his forever home. Ernie is a sweet, gentle and calm natured boy who has a lovely affectionate side. He enjoys being close to people and happily seeks out cuddles and attention. When greeting people he can become excited at first but he settles down nicely. He loves to nudge his head into you for affection. He is incredibly loving and it is hard not to fall in love with his soft and gentle personality. Ernie is comfortable being handled and petted all over and happily allowed a collar to be fitted. He gently takes treats from the hand and enjoys spending time exploring. In the playground he enjoyed sniffing around, greeting people and then happily laying down and enjoying a quiet moment to himself. Ernie has shown himself to be a very lovely natured and balanced boy who could potentially live with another friendly and well balanced dog. A calm rural or suburban home with adopters who can provide love and patience would suit him perfectly.
